Since Cullman was founded in 1872, it's citizens have taken a great pride in being a self-supported economy. The residents of Cullman have always planned and lived within their self-generated revenues and budgets. Never before has this community been devastated by natural destruction as it was on April 27, 2011. This disaster is simply too much for the people of this community to overcome on their own.
